Dr Ope Lori is the Founder and CEO of PILAA (Pre-Image Learning And Action), an arts and diversity consultancy and brings with her, a wealth of knowledge and experience in race, gender, sexuality, liberational thinking, visual arts and education. Some of their clients include Acme, Tate, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, The Courtauld, The British Army, Corps Security, DOJ Gaminz (Nigeria) and GamCare amongst others.


She is a practising visual artist, specializing using video and photography in her political practice. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at La Fondation Blachére, France; Santorini Biennale of the Arts, Greece; 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning and between 2021 – 2022 as part of the Care| Contagion| Community — Self & Other touring show at Autograph, London and Impressions Gallery, Bradford. She is the author of the upcoming book, Beyond the Feminine: The Politics of Skin Colour and Gender in Visual Culture (Bloomsbury, 2024).
